Status: Long-term visionOur vision is not simply a place to stay. It is a safe environment where people can begin rebuilding their lives.
One of NJCA’s long term goals is to expand access to safe, confidential shelter and supportive housing for individuals and families escaping domestic violence, stalking, coercive control, and other dangerous circumstances.
As funding and appropriate facilities become available, we hope to develop safe housing that combines physical security with trauma informed support, advocacy, mental health resources, employment assistance, transportation, family services, and connections to longer term housing.
